Privacy Policy

The short version
Version 1.0 of the Donut Learn app collects no data. It works without sign-up, an account or online saving. Everything your child does in the app stays on your device.
What stays on your device
- Each learner's made-up nickname, animal avatar and optional Picture Code.
- Answers, progress, rewards and settings, so lessons pick up where your child left off.
This information is stored only on the device. In this version, it is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app, or tapping "Delete all data on this device" in the Parent Area, removes it. One small record with no personal information (the date the app was first opened) stays in the device's Keychain.
What this version does not do
- The app does not ask a child for a real name, email, photo, voice, school or location.
- It has no ads, no tracking, no analytics or crash-reporting tools, no AI services and no in-app purchases.
- We do not sell or share personal information.
Children
Donut Learn is made for children. Version 1.0 does not collect personal information from children, as defined by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), so no parental consent is needed. It follows Apple's Kids Category rules. Settings and links for parents sit behind a Parent Check. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
App Store numbers
Apple shows us total downloads, and combined usage numbers (such as sessions) only from people who chose to share them with developers in their device settings. These numbers do not identify anyone.
This website
This website has no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a future version adds accounts, syncing or anything else that collects data, we will update this policy and ask a parent first.
If you email us
If you write to us, we receive only what you choose to send: your email address and your message. The "Contact us" email in the Parent Area also adds the app version, days since install and the number of Lessons finished; you can see and edit this before sending. We use it only to answer you, not for marketing, and delete it when your question is resolved. Please don't include your child's real name. To have an email deleted sooner, just ask.
